360 Laurier
A warm, editorial lifestyle film for a new Ottawa residence — shot and graded like a brand campaign, not a property listing.
We shot 360 Laurier like a brand campaign — real people living, working, moving and playing in the building, not empty rooms on a listing.
Overview
CLV Group brought us in as their creative partner for the launch of 360 Laurier, a new residential property in Ottawa. The brief: sell the 360 life — living, working, moving, playing — by showing the suites and amenities as lived-in spaces with real people. We delivered a hero community film and five social cuts.
Approach
Four beats — living, working, moving, playing — each its own scene. Suites, kitchen and dining carry the warmth of living. Working moves up to the rooftop: a young couple in love against downtown Ottawa's skyline. The gym and pilates studio carry the energy of moving; billiards, the golf simulator lounge and the café carry the social side. Detail shots open each space — books, a sculptural chain, a set table — so it reads as warm and considered before anyone walks in. Foreground layering (plants, books, objects) and widescreen framing keep every frame intimate.
Challenges
One operator, many locations, every kind of light — daylight gyms, backlit windows, warm under-cabinet light against a cool window, fire and screen glow in the lounge, golden-hour sun on the roof. It all had to cut together as one film.
Solutions
Mid-production we pitched a second shoot on the rooftop patio — a relaxed evening with friends and drinks. CLV green-lit it, and it turned an amenity tour into a lived-in moment. It became one of the strongest scenes in the film.
One family of looks, re-tuned per scene instead of one LUT on everything. Suites get the full warm look. On the rooftop, the warmth pulls back so the golden-hour sun isn't doubled up. The gym and pilates studio run cooler and crisper with tighter blacks. The golf and fireplace lounge sits close to the suites, checked against fire and screen.
What stays constant is what makes it one film: skin tones, contrast character and texture. Shot on the Sony FX3 and A7IV in S-Log3, graded in DaVinci Resolve through a colour-managed DaVinci Wide Gamut pipeline with Cullen Kelly's Referent as the output transform — warm highlights, neutral-to-cool shadows, greens steered to olive, skin protected.
